About The Job

Our Team:

Lead and Manage the Site in line with Local Legal and Sanofi Guidelines and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible of the overall direction and control of the site entire operations to ensure the optimal achievement of the company objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee the direction and control of the activities in Production, Quality, HSE, Engineering, Controlling, Plant Supply chain, Site Services.
  • Ensure adequate communication with relevant stake holders (viz: commercial organization, cluster leadership, with the relevant people in the Global organization)
  • Formulate, recommend, and implement all strategies, values, policies, systems and standards related to the whole operation of the Site
  • Implement Sanofi Values, corporate policies. Provide leadership and awareness on Sanofi and local HSE, Quality, Financial and HR Standards
  • Ensure site and production operations are in Regulatory Compliance with Sanofi and local standards. Ensure that all production activities are carried out in accordance with GMP regulations, Sanofi and destination market requirement as well as local standards, related to safety, health, environment and quality
  • On behalf of the Company to build up good relations with relevant organizations, communities, personnel and local government authorities and represent site’s through liaison with internal and external organizations.
  • Accountable for compliance to all India and Local Goa State Law/Regulation and corporate standards
  • Maintain cordial relations with local Trade Union and Manage Local Social Relations at Site in line with local regulations
  • Accountable for product/Service Quality and Cost.
  • Accountable for correct implementation to all operation strategy as well as capital investment cycle.
  • Ensure optimum cost efficiency by directing and controlling the following activities: 1) working capital control, investment plans and cost analysis, 2) storage, stock control, 3) cost controlling objectives to be set in site business plan. Continuous improvements of cost, technology, cycle times, customer service and compliance through projects etc.
  • Review production and plant capacities, initiate projects for plant capacity expansion and automation, liaise with the project engineering team for project execution in order to, and ensure that the stretched productivity targets are met.
  • To ensure that the information systems remain aligned with the group priorities. Play a major role in the group information and data protection. Continuously adapt information systems and practice to the external regulations and internal rules.
  • Guidance in finalization of all service contracts relating to Non Cost Goods (NCOGS). Monitor capital and revenue budgets of the site and prepare required management information reports to ensure that the site activities are carried within expenses sanctioned approved under AED process both for revenue and budget.
  • Ensure real time and ongoing communication with Site team and IA and country Hierarchy
  • Conduct review meeting for the Site.
  • Administer the multi-functional site team, responsible for employee recruitment, termination, work assignment, remuneration, awards and maintaining discipline
  • Ensure the growth and development of talented, motivated employees to meet succession needs by directing and reviewing recruitment, career development plans, and providing necessary training.
  • Accountable continuous improvement and benchmarking in plant operation area.
  • Accountable for risk assessment of business operation.

About You

  • Experience: At least 12 + years of multinational pharmaceutical experience and minimum 5 years of experience in plant management and managing Teams.
  • Technical skills: Understanding of India and Goa Laws and Regulation related to business operation, USFDA, MHRA, TGA, Product/process/ pharmaceutical machinery/methodology
  • Languages: English, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi
