First Employment Working Group Meeting

On the sidelines of hosting the 2023 G – 20 summit, the Government of India has been organizing various group meetings like Business20, Think20, etc. Now the GoI is to conduct the Employment Working Group Meet of G20. This is to be held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Employment Working Group will discuss three things namely Global Skill gaps, sustainable financing to achieve social security, Social Protection, and Gig and Platform Economy.

Advisory on Obligation of Public Service Broadcasting

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been in constant discussions with private satellite television channel broadcasters. Based on the inputs provided by these TV channels, the ministry released an advisory on the Obligation of Public Service Broadcasting. According to the advisory, private satellite television channels should telecast public service broadcasting at least for 30 minutes.

Hindenburg Research – Adani Group Row

The Hindenburg financial research company recently released a research report on the Adani Group. According to the report, the group was involved in stock manipulation. Gautham Adani, his brother, and other family members used tax havens and established shell companies. While the shell companies were not operating in reality, the company fraudulently posed itself as blooming in business. This increased the stock prices of the group by 815% in a few months. After the research report released by the Hinderburg financial research enterprises, the investors of Adani have lost more than one lakh crore rupees.

IMF: India’s Inflation will fall to 5% in 2023, 4% in 2024

The International Monetary Forum recently released the World Economic Outlook. According to the report, the Inflation in India is to reduce to 6.8% in March 2023. Further by the end of 2023, the inflation will reduce to 5%. In 2024, Indian Inflation will be 4%. The report also said that global inflation is to reduce to 6.6% in 2023. It was 8.8% in 2022.

Ernakulam: First District to register 10,000 new MSMEs

The Kerala Government launched the Enterprises Campaign during its 2022-23 budget. Also, the state government declared the financial year 2022-23 as the Year of Enterprises. This was done to boost the development of the MSME sector in the state. The campaign was held in different parts of the state under the tagline “My Enterprises, Nations Pride”. Because of the campaign the number of MSME companies in the state increased. Today Ernakulam has become the first district in the state to register more than ten thousand new MSMEs. The other districts such as Thrissur and Malappuram are also moving close to the number.
