Job Description
A)TQM Plan 1) Create a long-term plan for TQM in align with overall Business Focus 2)Assess business risks, analyze impact and develop mitigation strategies for TQM at the plant.
B) Business Planning 1) Develop the annual business plan /Operating Budgetfor TQM in alignment to the long term production strategy 2) Review the execution and achievement of the business plan on a periodic basis (monthly/ quarterly/ annually) and deploy appropriate governance mechanisms for course correction as and when required 3)Coordinate with the production teams, central planning team as well as customer facing teams to ensure TQM plan includes and incorporates of all quality criteria/minimums required by various customers 4)Assess ROI for all TQM related initiatives at the plant location.
C)TQM 1)Develop and maintain relationships with key consultants/organizations that could help the plant meet certain quality standards and obtain quality certifications etc. 2)Ensure quality management across the value chain of products through adherence to production and quality standards such as TPM, TQM, 5S, Deming etc. 3)Design and execute thorough SOPs for all production teams as well as the TQM team to ensure complete adherence to quality standards at each stage of the production process 4)Plan and execute audits in coordination with the compliance team in order to ensure reduction in non compliance to systems and to drive continuous improvement 5)Collate customer feedback/complaints from the customer facing teams and central planning team to ensure this feedback is embedded in all initiatives related to quality management at the plant.
D)Legal and Statutory Compliances 1)Stay updated with developments in legal and statutory regulations, share knowledge, maintain internal network and develop external networks to ensure smooth audit and compliance process at the manufacturing unit 2)Set up systems to ensure compliance with statutory requirements((Environmental law, health and safety regulations etc.)) through proper documentation and adherence to established processes 3)Assess and monitor all processes, procedures, structures, products, services of the business, from a legal and compliance point of view 4)Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, processes and tools for legal areas of competence for the plant operations, taking into account local (country/state) regulations, professional standards and specifics of the business 5)Gather and collate inputs form managers/workers/members of the compliance team across the manufacturing unit to understand key areas of non-compliance and organize trainings/sessions to ensure complete compliance 6)Ensure that the capability and knowledge of the production/engineering/maintenance teams are up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and best practices.
E)Audits 1) Co ordination with the concerned functions for preparation of audit requirements of global customers to make sure that audit points are correctly addressed 2)Ensure smooth schedule and planning of external audits at the site to comply with internal approved procedures.
F) Risk MAnagement-Drive adherence to the organization risk mitigation framework covering key risk management areas (external ecosystem, operations, financial, regulatory and people)
G) People Development-Develop a team and organization that is aligned to and continuously lives the Welspun values Be a Torch Bearer and brand Ambassador of Welspun Values and ensure it cascades down the line.
