Morrison Hershfield’s Horizontal infrastructure group provides planning, design and construction administration services for roadway, highway, transit / rail, bridge, municipal and related projects. We are currently seeking a detailed oriented CAD operator to complement our Horizontal Infrastructure team in Vizag, India. The successful candidate demonstrating eagerness to learn and grow will get an opportunity to grow to be a Designer.

Responsibilities
- Assist in Electrical systems design for transportation and transit projects for variety of high-profile Government and Private sector clients.
- Prepare site plans, layout plans, wiring diagrams, data communication/IT network schematics, construction details.
- Utilize latest computer aided design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit to prepare design drawings and details.
- Be creative and detail oriented to develop quality drawings per client requirements, design standards.
- work within a multi-discipline team environment in an integrated manner to deliver quality products.
- Liaise with other departments and sub-consultants in coordinating reference drawings, design details, and submissions.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and identify discrepancies in drawings and resolve through appropriate methods and channels.
- Review drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Perform changes, additions and/or revisions as required.
Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering/Technologist diploma
- Prior drafting experience in consulting engineering is considered as an asset
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation including use of X-Refs/layers/blocks/line types.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D, REVIT, etc. would be an asset.
- Able to read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals for devices and systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
