Educational Qualification:
1. Inspector of Income Tax – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or equivalent |
2. Tax Assistant – (i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or equivalent; and (ii) Having Data Entry Speed of 8000 Key Depressions per hour |
3. Multi-Tasking Staff – Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board |
Sports Eligibility:Appointments shall be made of a sportsperson who has participated in any of the games/sports (as mentioned in Para-05) and considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:-Sportspersons having represented:(i) A state or the country in the National or International Competition in any of the games/sports mentioned in the list at Para-05For the purpose of recruitment the international meets/competitions shall be categorized as under:-Category-A :(1) Olympic Games(2) World Championships/ World CupCategory-B :(1) Asian Games(2) Commonwealth Games(3) Asian Championships/ Cup(4) Commonwealth Championships / Cup(ii) Further, keeping in view the overall intention of the Government of India behind the recruitment through sports quota to promote and nurture sportspersons, priority shall be given to a candidate without any sponsorship/scholarship/contract/employment under central, state government & PSUs over the other similarly placed candidate being in receipt of monetary compensation in the nature of sponsorship/scholarship/contract/ employment under central, state government & PSUs from any Indian/Non-Indian entity. |

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:
1. Inspector of Income Tax – Pay Level-7 of Pay Matrix (pre revised Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- in PB-2 of Rs.9300-34800) |
2. Tax Assistant – Pay Level-4 of Pay Matrix (pre revised Grade Pay of Rs.2400/- in PB-I of Rs.5200-20200) |
3. Multi-Tasking Staff – Pay Level-1 of Pay Matrix (pre revised Grade Pay of Rs.1800/- in PB-I of Rs.5200-20200) |
Selection Process:
The applications shall be scrutinized, and eligible candidates shall be shortlisted on the basis of evaluation of their performances in last three years (i.e. 2019 to 2021), age and highest achievement in their career in respective sports events. For this purpose, all the eligible candidates shall be called for appearance before the Committee for verification of the relevant original documents submitted by them alongwith their applications. In this regard, only those documents whose copies are already submitted with the applications by the concerned applicant with proper attestation shall be taken into consideration by the Committee. Any other documents submitted thereafter shall not be considered. |

Applications must be submitted in the format given in Annexure-II and addressed to the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (Admn.), 2nd Floor, Aayakar Bhawan, 16/69, Civil Lines, Kanpur – 208 001 by post or by hand within one month from the date of publication of advertisement. The envelope containing the application should also be superscripted as follows:
