Educational Qualification:  

1. Project Associate-II 

Essential Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Zoology / Botany/ Forestry / Environmental Science /Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥4 years experience in the relevant field after Master’s degree.

Desirable Expertise in river and wetland ecology or conservation and sound knowledge on biology of aquatic wildlife. Proven track record of publication in peer reviewed journals.

2. Project Associate-I (Aquatic Ecology) –

Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Botany/ Forestry/ Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in relevant field.

Desirable Experience in aquatic ecology/river habitat assessment/wetland ecology/ aquatic habitat monitoring/ wildlife research/ conservation.

3. Project Associate-I (Ecotoxicology) –

 Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Environment Science/ Wildlife Science / Zoology /Chemistry/ Life Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience on ecotoxicology.

Desirable Experience of sample collection and laboratory analysis for toxicity/pollution assessment, preferably related to aquatic ecosystems.

4. Project Associate-I (Aquatic Botanist) –

 Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Botany/ Wildlife Science / Forestry/ Life Science / Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Experience in aquatic vegetation research/aquatic habitat monitoring/ wildlife research/ conservation

5. Project Associate-I (Fish) –

Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science /Environmental Science/Zoology / Fishery Science/ Life Science / Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Experience in Taxonomy and Biology of Fishes/ Aquatic Ecology/ River habitat assessment/wetland ecology

6. Project Associate-I (Birds & mammals) –

 Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Forestry /Environmental Science/Zoology / Life Science or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Experience in Taxonomy and Biology of birds and mammals/ Aquatic Ecology/ River habitat assessment/wetland ecology

7. Project Associate-I (Herpetology) –

Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Forestry /Environmental Science/Zoology / Life Science / Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Experience in Taxonomy and Biology of reptiles and amphibians/ Aquatic Ecology/ River habitat assessment/wetland ecology

8. Project Associate-I (Spatial Analyst) –

Essential- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Geo-information/ Life Science/Environmental Science/ M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering/ Remote Sensing & GIS or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Experience in projects related to GIS and Remote Sensing after Master’s degree particularly experience of working on wildlife and aquatic habitat

9. Project Assistant (Biology) –

Essential- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in Botany / Zoology / Chemistry / Life Sciences/ Wildlife Science / Forestry / Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation or the related subjects.

Desirable Masters’ degree in any discipline in life science, humanity and economics, mass communication. Experience and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects.

10. Project Assistant (General) –

Essential- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in Sociology/ Commerce/ Economics/ or related subjects.

Desirable Masters’ degree in any discipline in life science, humanity and economics, mass communication. Experience and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects.

11. Database operator –

Essential- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Engineering/ Computer application with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in computer science with ≥1 year experience in relevant field

Experience of development and management of database and web designing

12. Graphic Designer –

 Essential- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 55% aggregate marks in graphic designing/arts with ≥2 year experience in the relevant field

Desirable Experience of graphic designing , web designing and working on designing software, managing social media etc.

13. Project Assistant –

Essential- Bachelor’s degree in arts/ commerce/ science/ economics/sociology with minimum of 60% aggregate.

Desirable Experience in conducting social survey and stakeholder analysis. Proficiency in MS Office, Internet and Tally.

How to apply:  

The candidate should send the duly filled application form (Annexure 2) in a sealed envelope super-scribed “WIINRCD PROJECT” and the “NAME OF POST APPLIED FOR”, with self-attested true copies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, extra-curricular activity, certificate of date of birth (certificate or mark sheet of high school), to The Registrar, Wildlife Institute of India, Chandrabani, Post Office – Mohbewala, Dehra Dun, 248002, Uttarakhand. Each candidate can apply at the most for two positions only. Application fees of Rs. 500/- for each post applied will have to be deposited through Demand Draft made in favor of the Director, Wildlife Institute of India, payble at Dehra Dun for each position. The Demand Draft will have to be submitted with the application form. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Physically Challenged (PC) category need not pay any fees but will have to pay Rs. 100 as application handling charges. The SC/ST/PC certificate should be attached with the application. Applications without Demand Draft of required amount and self-attested documents will be treated as incomplete and will be rejected. The applications that are not submitted in the prescribed format as given in Annexure 2 will not be considered. The completed application should reach the Office of the Registrar by 10.07.2022 by 5:30 P.M.
