Educational Qualification:
| 1. Scientist – F –
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level. Desirable: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University / Institute |
| 2. Scientific Assistant –
Essential: Three (03) years of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University. Basic knowledge of computer. Experience Desirable: two years of experience in handling fabrication, assembly and testing mechanical system for sub-sea or surface applications, quality control management for such systems or, Operation and maintenance of navigational systems, dry docking or execution of projects in the area of ocean technology and engineering. |
| 3. Scientific Assistant –
Essential: Three (03) years of Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University. Basic knowledge of computer. Experience Desirable: Two years of Experience relating to Assembly, Integration and testing of Electronics Systems/sub systems, data acquisition systems/sensors and transducers. |
| 4. Technician Grade – A –
Essential: i) 10th Class Pass (Secondary / Metric) of a recognized Board and ITI course approved by National Council for Vocational Training or equivalent from recognized Institutions. ii) Basic knowledge of computer. Experience Desirable: Experience of two years in the relevant field. |
| 5. Junior Translation Officer – Essential: Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR) Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR) Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than English or Hindi, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR) Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR) Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office’s including Government of India undertaking. |

Salary Details:

The application form is available online on NIOT website http://www.niot.res.in/niot1/ recruitment.php The candidate has to fill the application online and upload recent passport size photograph (to enable issue of admit card for appearing test) and scanned copies of the documents listed below. Upon submission, an online Registration and application Number will be provided by the system. Upon allotment of application Number, the candidate has to take print out of the application and send the same duly signed along with self-attested copies of the following certificates to reach the Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology, Velachery – Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai – 600100.
