Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to work with FMCG / Distributor channel market to convey their retailer’s finance requirement through our lending products. The role incumbent is responsible to build a workable pipeline of retailers/ small shops who can be potential customers for “Vyapar Mitra Business Loans”. Additionally, the role holder is accountable to build a sales pipeline for MFL Branches for various loan products, where Branch/AMs will work for sales conversion.

Key Job Responsibilities

Understand the FMCG / Consumer Distributor market and its retailer’s finance requirements

  • To establish a strong relationship with a variety of distributors under the FMCG market, there by identifying opportunities to build a network with retailers.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations in this area, with all contacts, customers, and potential customers
  • Work closely with the FMCG distribution channel to understand the financial requirements of its retail partners
  • Leverage relationship from previous work experiences with FMCG/ Consumer distributors / wholesalers in the given region or area of Geography.

Build potential customer pipeline of retailers & small shops for “Vyapar Mitra Business Loans”

  • Conduct promotional activities for marketing and drive referral programs for customer acquisition
  • Retain the acquired customers by helping them build a working capital pipeline based on their requirements and supply chain with FMCG distributors.
  • Design and implement an elevator pitch that custom fits the requirements of target retailers
  • Build a product value proposition in collaboration with distributors channel, that suits the cyclic needs of the customers in the FMCG retail chain
  • Educate and align retailers on the USP of the “Vyapar Mitra Business Loans” in terms of cash flow and continual supply chain

Build a Sales pipeline for retail branches

  • Based on the networking skills & customer pipeline built, develop strong relationships to establish customer needs beyond retail lending on MSME.
  • Educate customer on our bouquet of products and financial services to build a sales pipeline for retails branches to convert
  • Promotes MFL’s lending products and other financial services; consistently cross-sells and Up-sells products at every opportunity through business development activities, partner melas and collaborations
  • Work as conduit between MFL Branches and FMCG/ Consumer Distribution ship.

Role Requirements

Educational Qualification – Graduate / Postgraduate / MBA

Experience –

  • Minimum 4 to 7 Years as Territory Sales In Charge ( TSI) managing 5 to 8 Distributors in a Town.
  • Previous experience as Territory Sales In Charge ( TSI) with any leading FMCG Company managing 5 to 8 FMCG/ Consumer product Distributors in a town.
  • Experienced in managing daily distribution/ stock taking / collections / marketing activity participations.
  • Must have had sales targets responsibility in previous FMCG/ Consumer products stints.
  • Experienced in working Sales team of Distributors thru regular meetings, joint beat plans .
  • Good tracking & data collection experience on each distributor, retailers daily sales /weekly/monthly sales plan.
