Lead the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting and auditing. Oversee and take ownership of the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports. Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Review financial reports for augmenting revenues and profitability. Financial reporting of monthly financial performance with variance analysis viz a viz budget/revised plan and ensuring adherence/monitoring of actions plans to derive profitability & productivity.Manage banking relationships. Management of working capital and cash flows.Supervise all financial reconciliations with partners such as malls, ecommerce partners and MBOs. Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company. Develop, implement and improvise finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business units. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
CA with 12-16 years’ overall experience in the finance & accounts function of progressive well managed companies. Deep understanding of the retail sector mandatory. Must have ability to devise commercial structures.Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Must have led a team atleast 10. A high level of commercial acumen. Robust revenue and profitability focus, with an ability to track business metrics on a regular basis. Sharp bottom-line orientation. Familiarity and comfort with legal – should have the ability to read contracts and translate it to business and commercial discussions. Appreciation of premium products useful, to be able to relate to the needs of the business and adapt to the culture rapidly.
