 Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Masters Degree in Agriculture including one or more disciplines i.e. Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Marketing or Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation or Agricultural Extension Education or Agricultural Statistics or Agricultural Communication or Agri-business or Agricultural Engineering or Post Harvest Technology or Food Science Technology or Food Processing or Post Harvest Management or Cold Chain Logistics or Horticulture OR Masters Degree with Botany or Economics or Commerce with Economics or Maths or Statistics or Business Administration from a recognised University.

Experience: Three years’ experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing including Cooperative Marketing

2. Senior Scientific Assistant (Aeronautical) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE). (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) OR Associate Member of Aeronautical Society of India (AMASI) (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)

Experience: one year experience in relevant field i.e. Aeronautical from a recognized organization.

3. Senior Scientific Assistant (Electrical) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.

Experience:: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Electrical from a recognized organization.

4. Senior Scientific Assistant (Electronics) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Electronics Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Electronics from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as a special subject OR Degree from Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Electronics from a recognized organization. Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Chemical from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Chemical from a recognized organization. 6. Senior Scientific Assistant (Computer) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Computer Engineering or Technology/Information Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Computer from a recognized organization OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) plus one year experience in the relevant field i.e. Computer from a recognized organization. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) Note: The term recognized organization for one year essential experience in the relevant field i.e. Computer shall include offices of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Semi Government, Statutory, Autonomous Organization and Companies registered under the Company Act, 2013

7. Senior Scientific Assistant (Mechanical) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE). (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.

Experience: one year experience in relevant field i.e. Mechanical from a recognized organization

8. Senior Scientific Assistant (Metallurgy) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University OR Associate Member of Indian Institute of Metals (AMIIM) (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.) OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Metallurgy from a recognized organization. Note: The term recognized organization for one year essential experience in the relevant field i.e. Metallurgy shall include offices of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Semi Government, Statutory, Autonomous Organization and Companies registered under the Company Act, 2013.

9. Senior Scientific Assistant (Textile) –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in Textile Engineering or Technology from any recognized University.

Experience: One year experience in relevant field i.e. Textile from a recognized organization. Note: The term recognized organization for one year essential experience in the relevant field i.e. Textile shall include offices of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Semi Government, Statutory, Autonomous Organization and Companies registered under the Company Act, 2013.

10. Specialist Grade III Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) – Essential Qualifications:

Educational: (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holder of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI of CHS Rules, 2014 and CHS amendment Rules 2019 i.e. Master of Surgery (Oto-Rhino Laryngology); or Diplomate of National Board (Oto-Rhino-Laryngology) Or Diploma in Oto-Rhino-Laryngology.

Experience: Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Postgraduate Diploma. N

11. Junior Mining Geologist –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Degree in applied Geology or Geology from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience: Three years experience in carrying out geological appraisals of minerals or ore deposits or research/teaching experience in the field of Geology or Applied Geology in a recognised Institution. DESIRABLE: Experience in Geographical Information System and remote sensing application

12. Assistant Mining Geologist –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognised University or Institution.

Experience: Two years experience in carrying out geological appraisals for minerals or ore deposits or research or teaching experience in the field of Geology or Applied Geology in a recognised Institution.

13. Chemist –

Essential Qualifications:

Educational: Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution.

Experience: Three years’ experience in chemical analysis of ores and minerals from a laboratory recognized as a Research Laboratory by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or Department of Science and Technology or any other such Government organization carrying out chemical analysis of ores and minerals.

Desirable: Doctorate in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution.

2. Senior Scientific Assistant (Aeronautical) – Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
3. Senior Scientific Assistant (Electrical) – Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
4. Senior Scientific Assistant (Electronics) – Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
5. Senior Scientific Assistant (Chemical) – Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
6. Senior Scientific Assistant (Computer) – Level07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

Selection Process:

UPSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Recruitment Test
2. Interview

Application Fee/Exam Fee: 

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
