Educational Qualification:
| 1. JRF/Project Associate I – Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have NET (National Eligibility Tests) – UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Or equivalent or Ph.D. OR Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences /MVSC or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent (DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 Dated 10/07/2020)
Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop. |

Essential: The Institute/Organization Ph.D. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. (DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 Dated 30/01/2019) Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop. |

Essential: Matriculate but not Graduate Desirable: Knowledge of working in lab, field and glasshouse. |
| 4. JRF/SRF –
Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD, Dated: 13th July 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 16/27/2014/HRD, Dated: 9th October 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019. Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling of field crop. |

Age Limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF/JRF, age 40 years for RA and Skilled Worker/Helper for 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC)
Salary Details:
| 1. JRF/Project Associate I – Rs. 31,000 + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under above. (DST OM No. SR/S9/Z05/2019 Dated 10/07/2020) |
