1.3. Stipendiary Trainee Category-I (Civil)  – Diploma* in Civil Engineering
1.4 Stipendiary Trainee Category-I (Electrical) – Diploma* in Electrical Engineering
1.5. Stipendiary Trainee Category-I (Electronics) – Diploma* in Electronics/Electronics& Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication Engineering

2.1 to 2.8. For Stipendiary Trainee Category-II (A/C Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Turner & Welder) Posts –

SSC with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate PLUS Trade certificate in A/C Mechanic; Electrician; Electronic Mechanic; Fitter; Instrument Mechanic; Machinist; Turner; Welder.

The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate:

1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.

OR

2. NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme

OR

3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course.

OR

4. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

2.9. For Stipendiary Trainee Category-II (Draftsman(Mechanical) Posts –

SSC (with minimum 60% marks) OR HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

AND

Certificate of One year duration in Draughtsman (Mechanical)issued by Technical Education Board of State Government or NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.

2.10. Stipendiary Trainee Category-II (LaboratoryAssistant) –

HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate OR

SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS Trade certificate in Laboratory Assistant.

The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate:

1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration.

OR

2. NAC of two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

OR

3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year work experience after the completion of course.

OR

2.11. Stipendiary Trainee Category-II (Plant Operator) – HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
DR/1. Scientific Assistant/B (Safety) – Diploma in any engineering (with minimum 50% marks in aggregate) OR B.Sc. (with minimum 50% marks in aggregate) AND One year Diploma / Certificate in Industrial Safety
DR/2. Technician/B (Library Science) – SSC (with minimum 60% marks in aggregate) OR HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate. AND Certificate of One year duration in Library Scienceissued by Technical Education Board of State Government or NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.
DR/3. Technician/B (Rigger) – SSC (with minimum 60% marks in aggregate) OR HSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate. AND Certificate of One year duration in Rigger Tradeissued by Technical Education Board of State Government or NTC (ITI pass out) of two year duration.

Upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable as under :

(a) Upto a maximum of five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.

(b) Relaxation in the Upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 Riots.

(c) Age relaxation is applicable to PwBD candidates as per Government rules.

(d) Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government orders, only for the posts under Stipendiary Trainee (Category-II)[viz. for the Post Nos. 2.1 to 2.11]

(e) Age relaxation is not applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against Un-reserved(UR) posts or EWS posts

For Scientific Assistant/B (Safety), Technician/B (Library Science), Technician/B (Rigger) Posts

Upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable as per the Government Rules in vogue :

(b) For departmental candidates (Central Government Civilian employees) with 3 years continuous service in the same line or allied cadre, upper age limit will be upto 40 years for General candidates, 43 years for OBC candidates and 45 years for SC/ST candidates;

(c)Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government orders – only for the posts under Direct Recruitment(viz. for Post NoDR/3);

(d) Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen will be as per Government orders.;

(e) Relaxation for Meritorious Sportspersons will be as per Government orders;

(f)Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots in India.

Selection Process:

BARC NRB may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Stage :1 – Preliminary Test
2. Stage : 2- Advanced Test & Stage : 3- Skill Test
Written Examinations Will Be Conducted At Mumbai and Chennai only.

Skill Test (Stage-3) for Category-II will be conducted in Mumbai only.

Interview for Category-I will be held in Mumbai only.

Exemption:
